1. Did you ever see yourself where you are now 10 years ago?
Uhhhhhhhh...NO. Ten years ago, I said NO KIDS and I was busy planning my next trip abroad. Yeah, times have changed a little.
2. Which book have you read that gave you the most food for thought?
The Hummingbird's Daughter by Luis Urrea. Characters in the book are forced to constantly adapt their world view and even though you think they are unable to change, they do and they thrive.
3. Favourite movie?
I haven't seen a movie since the Dark Ages, so let's go with an old standby: Say Anything. John Cusack was so geeky-cute back then.
4. Favourite location in the whole wide world and why?
Chamonix, France. Because it's incredible and you have to be there to believe it.
5. Worst life experience so far and what it taught you?
My grandmother getting lung cancer and eventually dying. She was one of many strong, stubborn women in my life and watching her fade away in to a shadow of herself really made me analyze what a strong woman is.
6. Your perfect meal (screw the calories!) would be...?
A huge caesar salad, followed by delicious nachos, followed by moose tracks ice cream. Oh wait. I think I ate that yesterday.
7. What music moves your soul?
This is scary, but old time country. I know, I know. It makes no sense.
8. Best athletic experience/event?
Completing my first 1/2 Ironman and getting a podium at the High Desert Omnium bike race. Very different events with similar feelings of accomplishment.
9. Your favourite possession?
My bikes. My skis. My Kindle. Oh wait. That's more than one. Oops.
10. Your favourite cartoon character?
The Incredibles. Because if everyone is special, then no one is.
11. What skill would you next like to learn?
Skate skiing. I dabbled last year. Now, I want to be FAST.
