You guys. I have been so busy playing, I haven't had time to update this blog. This is a true excuse. I spent the month of June in retirement, so named by my husband who trudged off to work every day while I trudged off to...well, PLAY.
Life worked out such that I had full-time daycare every day in June and NO JOB. It was amazing. So amazing, in fact, that I spend almost 50 hours on my bike(s) and many hours with friends in spectacular weather. I would like to be retired every month.
Alas, all good things must come to an end and I can no longer afford to be retired. (DAMNIT) I am not working in the month of July, but I will have kids with me almost every day. I still plan to play- we'll hike and we'll bike and we'll swim. We'll go to the river and the lake and the mountains. We will have a damn good time.
I have so many awesome pictures and things to tell you that I am going to try to write a blog post every day this week. Because if I included everything from June in one blog post, your brain might explode. Truly.
On Thursday nights, I have been riding with a talented group of ladies who school me weekly on singletrack skills. I'll include more pictures of their talents in upcoming posts.
Remember how I said I have been riding my bike a lot? Here is one piece of evidence: 60 miles of fun towards Saguache and back with Alexandra. Actually, that's not true. 50 miles were fun. The last ten sucked.
We spent Father's Day weekend camping at Ridgway State Park. This was the view from our campsite.
And this is what we did.
