And then, something awesome happened

I got home from vacation and went to see my doc for my 34-week appointment. I fully expected to hear the words "bed rest", especially given the amount of recent contractions. And then I planned to foam at the mouth from craziness and cabin fever.

But no. I was wrong. I was released to "ride easy".

HALLE-FREAKING-LUJAH.

So guess what I did?

Yep, you got it.

I rode my bike. Every day that I could. Granted, on mostly flat roads (with the exception of the heinous hill that happens to be the start of EVERY ride from my house) and for an hour to an hour and a half. But I DID. NOT. CARE.

I was riding my bike!! Wheeeeeeeeee!

Over about 5 days, I probably rode 60 or so miles. I didn't ride every day (most days were in the 16-18 mile range) but it's not bad for an 8 1/2 month pregnant lady.

BAM! Happy summer to me!
